Newark Teachers Back Rice for Congress
(NEWARK, NJ) – In these final days before the polls open on Tuesday, Ron C. Rice’s 10th Congressional District campaign is picking up steam. That momentum is being aided by the Newark Teachers Union who have come out in support of the Newark Councilman.
N.T.U. President Joseph Del Grosso and N.T.U. – C.O.P.E (Committee on Political Education) Chairman, Michael Dixon, have urged all of its 5,400 members to cast their votes for Rice on June 5. “Elections impact our children’s education, healthcare and retirement,” the union leaders wrote in a letter to their members, “we have the power to put our state back on track.”
Rice said that he is ecstatic and humbled by this latest endorsement. “The impact of teachers in our lives and in our communities is immeasurable,” Rice said. “I am honored to have their support.”
“How you vote is a personal decision,” Del Grosso and Dixon stated. “Decide for yourself and on June 5th vote Ronald C. Rice for Congress.”
Councilman Rice said he gives their endorsement an A+.
